It has been an amazing summer and really this blog post should have gone up at Glastonbury to mark the launch of this website, but truth be told, I was having a bit too much fun!
Lucky me was booked to photograph all the shows and walk about performers produced by Sideways Arts in the Greenpeace Field. The theme was Save the Arctic (I’ve got the T-shirt now) with Greenpeace raising awareness to the fragility of the Arctic threatened by climate change and drilling for oil. Sideways complimented this by providing a selection of icy inspired entertainment, everything from ice scaters to arctic explorers, and an evening show that delivered the current story of the arctic through a creative vision of music and dance.
It was a fantastic photography challenge and as well as all the acts, there was a whole festival of exciting things to photograph, and despite the midsummer heatwave, it snowed all weekend long!
